MXR Carbon Copy Analog Delay

Analog delay pedal

The MXR Carbon Copy (model M169) is a fully analog delay pedal built on old-school bucket-brigade technology for rich, warm repeats. It offers up to 600ms of delay time, a simple three-knob layout of Delay, Mix, and Regen, and optional modulation engaged by a top-mounted switch. It is a modern MXR classic widely used for warm, organic echo.

MXR is an American effects pedal brand founded by Keith Barr and Terry Sherwood in Rochester, New York, in the early 1970s. Its early stompboxes — the Phase 90, Distortion+, Dyna Comp, and Blue Box — brought studio-quality effects to guitarists in rugged, simple enclosures and became stage and studio standards. After MXR ceased operations in the 1980s, Jim Dunlop acquired the brand, reissued the original pedals, and added modern classics such as the Carbon Copy analog delay.
