Active/passive MFD-humbucker electric bass series

G&L's flagship bass family, launched with the L-2000 in 1980. L-Series basses pair dual G&L Magnetic Field Design humbuckers with the flexible Tri-Tone control system offering pickup selection, series/parallel routing, and active/passive operation. The family includes the four-string L-2000 and the five-string L-2500.

It pairs two G&L Magnetic Field Design humbuckers with the Tri-Tone control system, whose mini-toggles select pickups, switch series/parallel routing, and toggle active/passive operation, plus active treble and bass controls. It uses a bolt-on neck and the Leo Fender-designed Saddle-Lock bridge.

    The five-string member of G&L's L-Series, the L-2500 packs the L-2000's feature set into a 34-inch-scale five-string.
