    De Gier BeBop

    The BeBop is the De Gier model that established the Schiedam, Netherlands workshop, an offset Jazz-style bass whose prototype was bought by Marcus Miller and whose first production order came from Richard Bona. It blends vintage Jazz-bass voicing with builder Sander de Gier's own refinements.

    A double-cutaway electric bass family made by the German manufacturer Warwick, introduced in 1992 and now one of its most popular ranges. Offered in bolt-on Standard and Proline forms and the twin-humbucker Corvette $$ (also in neck-through), it is the most versatile and widely played Warwick, spanning warm, round tones to bright, aggressive attack. Built with woods such as swamp ash or bubinga bodies, ovangkol necks and wenge fingerboards.

It uses bolt-on construction, Overwater JJ or PJ noiseless pickups with copper-shielded cavities, and is offered in 4-string (34 in) and 5-string (35 in) versions.

    A short-scale hollow-body electric bass made by the German maker Höfner, a single-cutaway sibling of the famous 500/1 violin bass. Introduced in the late 1950s, the 500/2 Club Bass shares the violin bass's light hollow body and warm, thumpy short-scale tone and is associated with the early-1960s Beatles/Hamburg era. Höfner continues to offer Club Bass reissues.

    The AC Classic is a fretless bass developed with Alain Caron and billed as 'the upright reinvented,' built in Canada to deliver an acoustic, upright-style voice. It pairs a chambered figured-maple body with a redwood top and extra chambering under the bridge, a three-piece maple neck, a Gabon ebony fingerboard, and LaBella black-nylon tapewound strings, voiced by an F Bass stacked single-coil bridge pickup and a Fishman piezo system in a handmade ebony bridge. It is offered fretless in four-, five-, and six-string versions.
