The company is best known for the Pyramid multi-track MIDI and CV sequencer and its successor, the Hapax dual-project performance sequencer. Their instruments are designed around deep compositional and performance workflows for modular and electronic music setups.

    The Squarp Hapax, released in 2022 by Squarp Instruments, is a high-end standalone hardware sequencer capable of running two full projects simultaneously. Each project holds 16 tracks with 16 patterns each, with MIDI DIN, USB MIDI, and CV/Gate connectivity, and more than 180 physical controls. The Hapax was the first hardware sequencer to offer complete recording support for MIDI Polyphonic Expression (MPE).

  • Squarp Pyramid

    The Squarp Pyramid, first released in 2015 by Squarp Instruments, is a standalone hardware sequencer offering up to 64 tracks of MIDI, USB MIDI, and CV/Gate sequencing. It combines step sequencing, real-time recording, loop-based recording, and a suite of built-in effects and chord/arpeggio generators in a compact desktop unit. The Pyramid was sold as a legacy product after the introduction of the Hapax.
