  • Technical line drawing of Dingwall Combustion

    Dingwall Combustion

    China

The Combustion is Dingwall's most affordable multiscale (fanned-fret) electric bass, using the brand's angled frets so each string sits at its own scale length for clearer, tighter low notes. It has a swamp ash body, a bolt-on five-piece maple neck, and two Dingwall FD3n neodymium pickups feeding a three-band preamp with an active/passive switch. It is offered in four-, five-, and six-string versions; the bodies and necks are made in China and each instrument receives a final fret level and setup in Canada, with the five-string fanning from a 37-inch low B down to a 34-inch G.

  • Technical line drawing of Dingwall NG-3

    Dingwall NG-3

It uses an alder body and a bolt-on five-piece maple neck with three Dingwall FD3n neodymium pickups feeding a Darkglass Tone Capsule preamp that has an active/passive switch. Offered in four-, five-, and six-string versions, its bodies and necks are made in China and finished with fret-leveling and setup in Canada; the five-string fans from a 37-inch low B down to a 34-inch G.

  • Technical line drawing of Dingwall Prima Artist

    Dingwall Prima Artist

    Canada

The Prima Artist is Dingwall's Canadian-made flagship multiscale (fanned-fret) bass, conceived as the company's no-compromise instrument. It uses a dual-density body with figured walnut on the bass side and figured maple on the treble side, a neck laminated from five to seven pieces of exotic wood, and handmade Prima Artist pickups available in J-style (PA1), mid-focused (PA2), or three-pickup (PA3) layouts. Offered in five- and six-string versions with passive or active electronics (Glockenklang, Darkglass, or Rupert Neve Designs), it rides on the Dingwall Z bridge and uses the long fan, running from a 37-inch low B down to a 33.25-inch top string.
