In guitar amplification it is best known for the high-gain 5150, originally Eddie Van Halen's signature amp, and its successor the 6505.

    Mesa/Boogie (Mesa Engineering) is an American maker of guitar and bass amplifiers founded in 1969 in Petaluma, California by Randall Smith. Widely regarded as the first boutique amplifier company and a pioneer of high-gain amp design, it is best known for the Mark series and the Dual Rectifier. The company has been owned by Gibson since 2021.

    EVH is the high-performance guitar and amplifier brand launched in 2007 by Eddie Van Halen under Fender Musical Instruments Corporation. It is best known for the 5150III amplifier series and the EVH Wolfgang guitars, continuing the high-gain tone Van Halen pioneered with the original Peavey 5150.
