The Model 23 is a professional J. Püchner bassoon built from curly mountain maple aged more than twenty years, with a thick-walled bore for projection and volume. It carries heavily silver-plated full professional keywork, including high D and E keys, little-finger and right-thumb rollers, a left-hand whisper-key lock, and added A-flat/B-flat and E-flat trills, plus rubber-lined wing and boot joints and nylon-lined pivot-screw sockets for smooth, quiet action.
