The five-string member of the StingRay family, the StingRay 5 brings the StingRay's active preamp and powerful humbucking tone to a 34-inch-scale five-string. Current Special versions feature a lightweight ash body, roasted maple neck, stainless-steel frets, neodymium pickups, and an 18-volt three-band preamp for added headroom.

The California V Series is Sandberg's offset bass family built around Precision-derived pickup layouts: VS (single split-coil), VM (split-coil + humbucker), VT (Jazz + Precision), and Central (single humbucker). It is bolt-on with a Canadian hard-rock maple neck, in 4-string (34 in) and 5-string (35 in) versions.
