The EX is the entry model of Muramatsu's handmade flute line, pairing a hand-cut sterling silver headjoint with a silver-plated nickel-silver body and mechanism. It uses the same key mechanism as Muramatsu's top flutes, with a pinned mechanism, drawn tone holes, French (open-hole) keys, pointed arms, A=442 tuning, and a B footjoint; inline or offset G and a split-E mechanism are available options.
