Dingwall Super J
J-style multiscale electric bass model
Canada
The Super J is Dingwall's multiscale (fanned-fret) reinvention of the classic J-style bass, made in the company's Canadian shop. It comes standard with an alder body, a one-piece maple neck, a wenge fingerboard, and two handmade Dingwall neodymium pickups in traditional J spacing, with an optional third pickup and a choice of passive or active electronics (Darkglass, Glockenklang, or Rupert Neve Designs). Offered in four- and five-string versions, it uses Dingwall's shorter fan, with the five-string running from a 35-inch low B down to a 32-inch G.
