The Modified Dreadnought (Mod-D) is Ervin Somogyi's proprietary signature shape, hand-built in Oakland, California. Derived from the traditional Martin dreadnought but reshaped with a defined waist and improved balance for seated players, it pioneered the fingerstyle dreadnought and is prized for Somogyi's soundboard voicing.
