The Shigeru Kawai SK-EX is a 278 cm (9'1") concert grand piano, the flagship of the Shigeru Kawai range and one of the most-chosen instruments at international piano competitions. Hand-built in Japan in very limited numbers, it features a solid tapered spruce soundboard, a Konsei Katagi maple rim, hand-crafted hammers, and the Millennium III action.
