The 901 is a professional Marigaux oboe and the core of the brand's 900 line, hand-made in France from grenadilla seasoned for at least four years, with silver-plated nickel-silver keywork. It uses a semi-automatic Conservatoire system with two octave keys, a Gillet key, a double-F key, and a third octave key, and has long been regarded as a worldwide professional reference.
