Ibanez TS9 Tube Screamer

Overdrive pedal

The Ibanez TS9 is the 1981 successor to the TS808 and one of the all-time classic overdrive pedals. This reissue keeps the same housing, the instantly identifiable green paint, and the same cranking overdrive, with a slightly brighter voice than the TS808. It offers Drive, Tone, and Level controls and is made in Japan.

The Tube Screamer is Ibanez's classic overdrive pedal line, introduced in 1979 with the TS808 and designed by engineer Susumu Tamura to emulate an overdriven tube amp. Its op-amp circuit with symmetrical diode clipping in the feedback path produces a warm, mid-boosted, amp-like overdrive. The Tube Screamer became one of the most influential and widely copied effects in guitar history and spans models including the TS808, TS9, and TS Mini.
