Professional oboe model

The XL is a professional Howarth of London oboe with a full Conservatoire system and semi-automatic octaves, voiced for a more soloistic tone than Howarth's orchestral S-series. It is built in high-density grenadilla (also offered in cocobolo) with heavily silver-plated keywork, metal-lined tenon sockets and sleeved tenons, undercut tone holes, a third octave key, and the full complement of trill keys.
