A 12-hole, 48-reed chromatic harmonica from the Brazilian maker Hering (model 5148), covering three octaves with a sliding button that raises each note a semitone for fully chromatic playing. It is built with an ABS body and chrome covers and is offered in several keys.

It became one of the world's notable harmonica producers, was owned by Hohner from the early 1960s into the late 1970s, and was relaunched by Brazilian investors in 1996; since 2017 it has been owned by SHG. Hering is known especially for diatonic, chromatic, tremolo, and octave harmonicas.
