The Samuel Eastman VB95 is a student double bass with a hybrid design: a fully carved solid spruce top for a richer, deeper tone paired with laminated maple back and ribs for stability and durability. It carries an ebony fingerboard and tailpiece, a Despiau bridge, Rubner Tyrolean tuning machines, hand-inlaid top purfling, and a hand-applied shaded antique-style varnish. It is offered in Gamba, Violin Corner, and Quenoil patterns and sizes from 3/4 down to 1/8.
