  • Yamaha SV-250 Silent Violin

    The Yamaha SV-250 is a professional four-string Silent Violin from Yamaha's Silent Series. It uses a hollow-body design with a spruce top and flamed maple back that form a small resonant chamber under the bridge, an ebony fingerboard and pegs, and an Aubert maple bridge fitted with Yamaha's dual pickup system that blends a bright electric tone with a more acoustic body sound. An external control box houses the preamp, volume, and treble/bass controls with 1/4-inch and XLR outputs, keeping the instrument at about 500 grams, close to a traditional acoustic violin. It is aimed at performers who need a quiet practice or amplified stage violin across many styles.

    The Yamaha SV-200 is a full-size solid-body SILENT Series electric violin built for stage performance and quiet practice. Its dual piezo pickup system widens dynamic range and responds to subtle bowing, while onboard volume, an EQ mode switch, and EQ control feed headphone and line outputs. The body is spruce with a maple neck, ebony fingerboard and tailpiece, and an Aubert maple bridge.

    The Yamaha YEV Series is a line of lightweight electric violins with an open, organic five-layer wood frame of maple, mahogany, and spruce. Designed for live performance, the YEV instruments keep the same playing geometry as an acoustic violin, accept standard chin and shoulder rests, and use a high-output passive bridge pickup that needs no battery.

It is offered in brown, black, and red finishes.
